Complaints as we know, are easy to make and receive, but compliments are rare and hard to come by. On the minutes of the recent Chiltern Youth meeting, a referee had sent a letter to the league complimenting two teams. The match was Dunstable Colts v Caldecote, under 15¡¯s. He praised both teams for excellent sportsmanship, and the League were pleased to receive positive feedback for a change. They asked that the message should be passed on to the teams concerned. Well done to the under 15¡¯s squad, it is very unusual for anyone to take the time to write to the league about something positive, so to have come from a referee is great!!

The end of the road for our County Cup challenges from the older teams, with both the Under 17s and Under 16s losing their matches this weekend. But some great results from our younger teams, with the Under 9s achieving a convincing win and the Under 11s , despite a busy weekend with two matches, coming out on top in both. Looking at the league tables, well done to the Under 9s, who are currently top of their table, and the Under 11s after their grading games are in Division One.
The Clocks will ¡°Fall back¡± this weekend, so the kick off times for the afternoon games are brought forward, don¡¯t forget to reset your clocks.

From this year, as part of the payments we make to the PFA, each child over the age of 14 will be a member of the Playing Fields Association, and is therefore able to use the facilities. As a family you too can join, for just £12 per year for the whole family. The bar is a members only facility ¨C why not join? We often hold fundraising events there, as do the PFA, it is friendly and good value for money. For more information, talk to Nigel (Under 9s manager) or Lou, the bar manager.

If you are in the wrong area, you will be asked to move.
